The mission of the Wayzata Garden Club is to stimulate and share the knowledge and love of gardening, and to promote environmental awareness among its members and the community at large.

The Wayzata Garden Club “took root” in 1953 and for over 60 years has been serving the Wayzata community with a membership of 50 actives and over 50 affiliates. Committee meetings are held throughout the year with monthly events from April to November for members and invited guests.

OOn December 3, 1952, a tea was held for the daughters and daughters-in-law of The Lake Minnetonka Garden Club to form a new garden club for the younger generation: The Lake Minnetonka Junior Garden Club.
